Event Information

Enjoy a great weekend of celebration of Aboriginal culture and of Mutawintji itself.

This 2-day festival is a chance to immerse yourself in a unique cultural experience at Mutawintji National Park. Get to know the local mob and hear stories of their Land and People. Enjoy traditional dance and Wiimpatja music.

Activities will be held at Two Mile dance ground throughout both days and evenings.

  • Corroboree, Two Mile dance group – Visiting First Nation dance groups from around the country perform traditional dance from their group’s homelands in several categories
  • Showcase of local Wiimpatja music acts, Two Mile dance ground – Experience musical talent of the Wiimpatja and get to do some dancing yourself.
  • Workshops – Enjoy hands-on activities including weaving, jewellery marking, art and artefact making.
  • Guided tours: Tours will run at 9am and then again at 1.30pm on both days.
Program of Events

Pick up a map and a program at the Mutawintji Visitor Centre when you arrive, and follow the signs to the dance ground.

This is a drug-free and alcohol-free event.

Mutawintji National Park is remote. Please bring your food and camping equipment with you. There are no shops at Mutawintji National Park.

Please note: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are provided for Wiimpatja. Visitors are welcome to join in shared meal times, however this is not a part of the ticketed price.

Camping & Culture Package

$150 per person (Adults).

Children FREE (16 years and under). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Price includes:

  • Camping at Homestead Creek campground – stay 1, 2 or 3 nights from Thursday 7 August to Sunday 10 August 2025.
  • All tours
  • Aboriginal cultural activities at Mutawintji Visitor Centre
  • Corroboree and Cultural Dancing on Friday and Saturday nights

Single Day Pass

$100 per person (Adults).

Children FREE (16 years and under). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Price includes:

  • All tours
  • Aboriginal cultural activities at Mutawintji Visitor Centre
  • Corroboree and Cultural Dancing on Friday and Saturday nights

Getting here From Broken Hill:

Take the Silver City Highway towards Tibooburra and look for the Mutawintji National Park turnoff or Take the Barrier Highway 75km from Broken Hill

Parking available at Homestead Creek campground, Homestead Creek picnic area and at Two Mile Creek dance ground.
